Princess Charlene Introduces Her New Chihuahua at Dog Walk for Charity
Princess Charlene of Monaco has once again captured hearts, this time with her new Chihuahua puppy, Kita, at a charity dog walk in Monaco. Known for her love of animals and wildlife advocacy, Princess Charlene used the event to promote pet adoption and raise funds for abandoned animals.
The charity event, held in Monaco, gathered many prominent figures, including Princess Charlene’s brother, Gareth Wittstock, and other elite personalities like Prince Serge of Yugoslavia. The Princess, dressed casually in a taupe knit hoodie, black joggers, and stylish Louis Vuitton sunglasses, walked with her adorable black and white Chihuahua, Kita, and emphasized the importance of adopting pets rather than purchasing them.
This charity dog walk was a perfect platform for Princess Charlene to raise awareness about animal adoption. It’s worth noting that Kita is not her first Chihuahua; she now has three, along with her Rhodesian ridgeback, Khan, which was brought from South Africa when she returned to Monaco in 2021.
Beyond her love for pets, Charlene is an ardent wildlife advocate, especially in her home country of South Africa. In 2021, she launched the #ChasingZero campaign, which is aimed at eradicating rhino poaching in South Africa. Her work to protect endangered wildlife continues to inspire many.
Earlier this year, Princess Charlene took on a new role as the president of Monaco’s Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA). The organization helps abandoned animals, offers temporary housing when their owners are hospitalized or pass away, and aids animals taken to the pound. Her appointment reinforces her dedication to animal welfare, and her new Chihuahua puppy, Kita, made her debut at this important event that combines her passion for both animals and charity.
