“Being a kid who grew up eating NikNaks, it’s such a full circle moment,” said Maglera. “It’s a very positive brand for black kids, so when my manager told me we have a chance to work with these guys, I was like, what can I do that’s cool for these kids. Corner culture has been such a dark thing for South Africa, and I feel like it’s shining a light on the positives of the corner store.”
