Lukhanyo Mdingi and Maxhosa Africa Get Honor by Being Named on the Business of Fashion 500 list
Lukhanyo Mdingi and Maxhosa Africa are the 500 Renowned Designers who are the brand part of the Business of Fashion 500 List Class of 2024.
The BoF 500 is an exclusive list that introduces the outstanding individuals who are influencing the worldwide fashion industry. This list is not only about fashion designers but also about inferiors, models, media celebrities, executives, creatives, and catalysts. BoF’s list is in the world of fashion that connects the different talents because of their common dedication to the field.
The represented Lukhanyo Mdingi being an under the designers’ category in an interview said: “Incredibly, fortunate to be a part of the BoF 500 List, Class of 2024. Whenever there is a success, there are always side-by-side challenges, it is a wonderful feeling to be appreciated and be a part of the worldwide conversation of culture, design, and community,” expressed Mdingi.
Laduma Ngxokolo, Maxhosa’s creative chief, extended this honor to his mother who had passed away:“Mama was the happiest to see that her boy was included in 2024 BoF 500 with such people who define the global fashion industry. Shoutout to Don Thixo [God], @MAXHOSA family, and our Patrons,” commented the maker, who previously released his S/S’25 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Some other African artists that made it to the list are the Gambian-Spanish makeup magician Ammy Drammey, a key figure in the worldwide cosmetics sector.Beside his precision in street fashion photography, Nigerian photographer Stephen Tayo also earned a spot on the list. Besides, Kenya’s Wandi Gichuru was applauded for the role she played in enhancing street fashion through the brand Vivo.
