Grammy award-winning artist The Weeknd is donating $1million to Ethiopians whose country has witnessed violence > and Twitter handles. The songwriter said that he would donate 1 million to the east African country through the UN world food program, which will feed which pr”My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to elderly are being senselessly murdered, and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction. I will be donating $1 million to provide 2 million meals through the United Nations world food program and encourage those who can to please give as well”.

According to CNN reports, thousands of civilians have been killed, raped, and abuse during the Tigray crisis. A CNN-led investigation also found that at least 11 unarmed men were executed by men in army uniform whose bodies were disposed of near Mahibere Diego.

The awarding-winning singer, born to Ethiopian immigrant parents, has been donating to the excellent course for a while now. In 2020, he made several donations, including Coronavirus relief, victims of the Beirut port explosion, and even the Black Lives Matters Global Network.
