Kia Tasman: A Revolutionary Pickup Double to Hilux and Ranger.
Kia has prepared the ground for a stunning addition to the truck market with its new Kia Tasman, a twenty hundred leader that measures straight into the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger market. Through a recently published teaser video on YouTube, Kia’s story was given as the one of the impressive intelligence possessed by upcoming bakkie that drives on the rugged desert dunes of the United Arab Emirates, thus confirming the brand’s passion for an aggressive and capable vehicle.
Projected to be in South African markets for the next year, the Kia Tasman is expected to be revealed officially in October of this year by the international building materials-producing firm, WOLSELEY. The company announced that the next year after this introduction, the bakkie will be sold to the first consumers in Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. Originally, the idea will allow Kia to tackle the already established contestants in the car industry up to the last speed of development and production.
The teaser video reveals the Kia’s method to the trials performed by the Tasman in the harsh conditions of Al Qudra, UAE. “We are still testing the Kia Tasman under the harsh desert conditions. Every test has made it stronger and more durable. Nature’s laws show that with each test we have ventured further to guarantee the Kia Tasman is ready to cope with even the cruelest desert,” the company gave.
On the other hand, the ground-up underpinning of the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which is other than the US, is the Kia Tasman introducing the body-on-frame design which is the model of the one-tonne competitors. According to Australia’s Drive website, the Tasman will receive the popular 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine that is found in the Sorento along with an optional electric version that might be in the pipeline for the customers.
Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are expected to be available, catering to a range of driving preferences and conditions. However, details regarding the availability of a single cab version remain unclear at this stage, as the teaser primarily showcases the double cab model.
As anticipation builds for the Kia Tasman’s official debut, enthusiasts and potential buyers are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates. With its promising features and competitive pricing, the Kia Tasman could be poised to shake up the bakkie market and offer serious competition to the likes of the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
