Don’t get us wrong, every woman is worthy of celebration but these women we are about to share with you are even favourites to some of you. They have fought hard to inspire a whole generation and write histories that generations to come will love to read about black women.

And who says we are going to start this piece with Madam Vice President (winks). A very strong and exceptional woman indeed. Kamala has inspired a whole generation of young girls who never even dare to dream that they can not only dream about it but achieve it as well.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
It seems this list will be featuring women soring first lol. Ngozi became the first-ever female director of the World Trade Organisation. The Nigerian finance expert is termed as one of the most influential women in the world.
Oprah Winfrey
Tell me you will talk about television and count Oprah out, obviously, no. Oprah Winfrey’s work has a significant impact on many people especially the younger generation.
Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang
This Gambian woman-is a politician and activist. In 2016, she was one of the key players in Gambian politics which ended Yahya Jammeh’s 22-year rule.

The late iconic actress portrayed how strong a black woman is. The Emmy award winner who distinguished herself in television, film and theatre took roles in well-know movies like “Sounder”, ” Root” and “King'”.
